Chris Smyth / Former Director of Schools, Diocese of Armidale
"Founder of the ‘The New Teacher Project’, Susie Edmonds, recently facilitated successful Wellbeing Workshops for Early Career Teachers within the Armidale Diocese. These workshops were highly beneficial to our ECTs. Susie explained and demonstrated strategies to build confidence and competency, how to deal with communication challenges and conflict resolution, classroom management strategies, and ways to achieve work-life balance while building self-trust. The ECTs had time to reflect on their journey in the early stages of their teaching career, where they felt they were and where they would like to end up. We would recommend Susie Edmonds (The New Teacher Project) to other educational leaders looking for professional learning that supports early career teachers in their development. We look forward to welcoming Susie to our diocese again to facilitate further workshops." |

“Susie has been an incredible asset to my team over the last 12 months. She has worked closely with me to assess our specific needs and adapt a program that is targeted, thoughtful and engaging. Through her workshops, our team has developed norms for working in a stress-filled environment, considered supportive practices to ensure staff wellbeing, identified success measures across our program and built strong psychological safety. Individually, Susie has supported each member of the group and catered to their differing needs.
If you are looking for a new way to improve team cohesion, staff wellbeing and psychological safety in the workplace, I would highly recommend engaging Susie.”

After meeting Susie, I was quickly able to see what I believe to be Susie's gift; the ability to facilitate and nurture connection. She does this with individuals and groups from all walks of life. I have seen Susie's knack for creating connections to transform individuals, and build relationships and teams."

"Susie Edmonds is an exceptional leader in education, professional development and personal empowerment. Her experience as a teacher, counsellor, facilitator and coach has given her an extensive toolkit of skills, and a thorough understanding of best practices for working in mentoring and leadership roles. Susie has a natural ability to build rapport with people by recognising and affirming their gifts, displaying understanding and empathy, utilising creativity, humour and a genuine spirit of service." |

"In the world of high school – Susie Edmonds was a class act. A mix of wit, wisdom, creativity, and humility. She provided guidance, never too much or too little - for she knew how to make students feel capable. She was an active listener - knowing when to throw a light-hearted joke or engage in a serious conversation. Susie also delegated tasks according to strengths and weaknesses, but at times, she purposely subverted this method to help students extend themselves and grow.
I came to Susie as a competitive student, anchored by my marks and test results. Susie challenged my ill-perceptions and helped me to re-assess an ingrained value system. I still keep in touch with Susie, and her advice is as applicable in high school as it is now as a young adult.
I can't help but imagine the benefits that Susie could provide to countless other students like me. (If only the world had more Susies!) The confidence she instils and the values she endows puts students on a path to a happy, healthier, and more fulfilled life.
She is more than just a teacher. She is an adept leader on the art of life; her lessons are about being vulnerable and becoming the best you can be. Something that perhaps a classroom or textbook could never do."

With Susie, you are never afraid of being judged. In my life, I have gained self-belief, insight and courage from Susie beyond what I thought was possible. Susie took fearful teenagers and helped transform them into authentic, courageous and influential leaders. She unlocked forces within me that allowed me to easily face the eyes of a thousand often judgemental teenagers and walk away unscathed and confident.

Caitlin / Year 12 Student
"Through coaching with Susie, I was able to understand the fear patterns that were inhibiting my full potential. Prior to my experience of mentorship, my drive for success was motivated by a fear of failure. Susie helped me to realise the diverse elements that made up my identity, beyond my NESA student number and ATAR. Over a series of sessions, I was able to realise that my actions had an undercurrent of fear and lack of self-confidence. Susie helped me to move away from my crisis mentality and taught me to change my goal-setting technique from seemingly unreachable goals that made me fearful to small and time-conscious goals. I am truly thankful for the techniques Susie provided me with for stress management; dealing with challenges; managing demands, unrealistic expectations and external pressures." |

Emma / New Scheme Teacher
"Before working with Susie I was struggling to find the level of support needed as a beginning teacher. I was trying to deal with issues such as effective behavioural management, contacting and conversing with parents, and navigating staffroom dynamics, all while trying to look competent and prioritise my mental health. Not sure if I was doing the right thing, I found myself lacking the self-confidence to back myself and my abilities in the classroom. Susie worked with me to build and refine my skills through self-reflection and practical applications. Susie's mentorship demystified the knowledge and wisdom of experienced teachers, which has, and will continue to follow me to new schools and new challenges". |

Bella / New Scheme Teacher
"Before I met Susie, I was completely overwhelmed with teaching from time management and paperwork, to behavioural management and looking after my wellbeing. Susie helped me to become the confident, positive teacher I am today. She showed me the importance of looking after yourself before helping others, how to engage a difficult audience of teenagers, the need to celebrate little wins, reflect on the failures and silence my inner critic. The struggle and anxiety I had in the classroom, has transformed into a safe and supportive environment. For that, I will be forever grateful." |
